Direct service to the Loop L means enhanced connections to the Orange, Brown and Green lines, Purple Line Express service and Metra. Also, if you’re heading to the Loop during weekday rush hours, you can continue to take a Blue Line train from Pink Line stations between 54th/Cermak (accessible) and Polk (accessible) to the Dearborn subway OR take the new Pink Line to the Loop elevated. Pink Line Trains between 54th/Cermak and the Loop: 54th-Cermak (accessible) to Loop: Trains will travel from the 54th-Cermak (accessible) station to Polk (accessible) and continue north to connect with the Green Line L along Lake Street. Trains will stop at the Ashland (accessible) and Clinton (accessible) stations and then travel clockwise around the Loop elevated, making all stops along Lake, Wabash, Van Buren, and Wells. Loop to 54th-Cermak (accessible): Trains will travel clockwise around the Loop elevated, making all stops along Lake, Wabash, Van Buren, and Wells. Trains will then travel west along Lake Street, stopping at Clinton (accessible) and Ashland (accessible) before continuing their westbound trips to 54th-Cermak (accessible). Forest Park Branch (Blue Line) More service every day! When you use the Forest Park branch of the Blue Line, you’ll experience more frequent service on this route — approximately every 7 1/2 minutes during weekday rush hours, instead of every 15 minutes. More service during non-rush periods and weekends as well, with trains operating every 7 1/2 to 10 minutes, instead of every 15 to 20 minutes. New Free L/Subway Connection: Chicago Card, Chicago Card Plus and Transit Card customers can now transfer without charge between the elevated lines at Library-State-Van Buren (accessible) (Brown, Orange, Pink, and Purple lines) station and the subway lines at the Jackson (accessible) (Red and Blue lines) stations.
