BLUE LINE

 

7am, Mon, Aug 10 to 7am, Sat, Aug 15

Chicago Station Intermittent Entrance Stairway Closures

How does this affect my trip?
The Chicago Blue Line station street-to-mezzanine entrance stairways will be temporarily closed, intermittently.

Station access will be available via the remaining stairways when one stairway is closed.

For your safety, only cross streets at crosswalks.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing station construction to improve the Chicago station as part of the Your New Blue modernization program.

 

7am, Mon, Aug 10 to 7am, Sat, Aug 15

Division Station Intermittent Entrance Stairway Closures

How does this affect my trip?
The Division Blue Line station street-to-mezzanine entrance stairways will be temporarily closed, intermittently.

Station access will be available via the remaining stairways when one stairway is closed.

For your safety, only cross streets at crosswalks.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing station construction to improve the Division station as part of the Your New Blue modernization program.

 

Aug 11 – 12
10pm Tue to 4am Wed

Boarding Change, Delays Between Addison and Montrose

How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the Forest-Park-bound side of the platform at the Irving Park station.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Addison and Montrose, resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Blue Line.

 

PINK LINE

10pm to 4am next day

Delays Between Cicero and 54th/Cermak

How does this affect my trip?
Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Cicero and 54th/Cermak, resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Pink Line.

 

PURPLE LINE EXPRESS


August 10 - 14  
5am Mon to 8pm Fri

Purple Line Trains Share Track with Red Line between Howard and Belmont

How does this affect my trip? 
Purple Line Express trains will share the same track with Red Line trains between Howard (for Linden-bound trains) or Granville (for Loop-bound trains) and Belmont.

Purple Line Express trains will continue to run express between Howard and Belmont, making only regular stops at Howard, Wilson and Belmont. However, minor delays may occur.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed? 
Purple Line service is being changed due to the temporary closure of two tracks between Granville and Berwyn stations to accommodate track and signal construction in preparation for the Red and Purple Modernization (RPM) project.

 

RED LINE


3am, Mon, Aug 3, 2020 to 10pm, Fri, Aug 14

95th-bound Trains Bypass Granville thru Bryn Mawr Stations

How does this affect my trip?
95th-bound Red Line trains will not stop at Granville, Thorndale or Bryn Mawr stations.

For service from these stations, take a Howard-bound train to Loyola and transfer to a 95th-bound train.

For service to these stations, take a 95th-bound train to Berwyn and transfer to a Howard-bound train.

Allow extra travel time.

Note: #84 Peterson will be rerouted to connect to Berwyn station for convenient connection to trains in both directions, in addition to connecting to Bryn Mawr station. See separate customer alert for details.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing track and signal construction in preparation for the Red and Purple Modernization (RPM) project.

Map shows 95th-bound trains bypassing Granville, Thorndale and Bryn Mawr stations; Howard-bound trains make all stops. Route 84 Peterson buses rerouted to Berwyn station to connect to trains in both directions, in addition to connecting to Bryn Mawr station.

#37 Sedgwick Temporary Reroute

Wed, Aug 5 to Mon, Aug 17, 6am to 2pm, weekdays or completion

How does this affect my trip?
Northbound 
buses will operate via Jackson, Wacker, and Monroe, then resume their normal route on Franklin.

Southbound buses are not affected.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
Buses are rerouted due to construction at Jackson/Franklin.


#88 Higgins Temporary Reroute

7am, Mon, Aug 10 to 5pm, Mon, Oct 5 or completion


How does this affect my trip?
Westbound
buses will begin their trips at the Jefferson Park Terminal, operate via Milwaukee, Northwest Highway, and Foster, then resume their normal route on Higgins. 

Eastbound buses are not affected. 

Allow extra travel time. 

Why is service being changed?
Buses are rerouted due to sewer work at Higgins/Austin.



#112 Vincennes/111th Temporary Reroute

1pm, Wed, Aug 5 to 5pm, Mon, Aug 17 or completion

How does this affect my trip?
Eastbound 
buses will operate via Vincennes, 110th, and Ashland, then resume their normal route on Vincennes.

Westbound buses are not affected.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
Buses are rerouted due to utility work at Vincennes/109th.
