BLUE LINE

Boarding Change, Delays Between Pulaski and Western (Forest Park branch)

How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the Kedzie-Homan station.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Pulaski and Western (Forest Park branch), resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Blue Line.

 

RED LINE

Mon to Wed, nightly
11pm to 4am next day

Boarding Change, Delays Between Cermak-Chinatown and Grand

How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the 95th-bound side of the platform at the Roosevelt, Harrison, Jackson, Monroe, and Lake stations.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Cermak-Chinatown and Grand, resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Red Line.

8pm, Mon, Jul 26 to 11:59pm, Mon, Aug 2 or completion

How does this affect my trip?
Northbound #2 Hyde Park Express, #6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #J14 Jeffery Jump, #26 South Shore Express, and #28 Stony Island buses will operate via Columbus, Roosevelt, and Michigan to Balbo.

#2 and #10 buses will resume their normal route on Balbo.

#6, #J14, #26, and #28 buses will continue their normal route on Michigan.

Between Michigan/Balbo and Roosevelt/Columbus, southbound buses will operate via Michigan and Roosevelt, then resume their normal route on Columbus.

Allow extra travel time.

Note: On Thursday, July 29 through Sunday, August 1, from 9pm to 11pm nightly, this reroute for the #6 and #J14 will be temporarily suspended and a different reroute will be in effect. See separate #6 and #J4 alert for Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday night.

How does this affect my trip?
Eastbound #7 Harrison
 and #126 Jackson, and southbound #143 Stockton/Michigan Express and #147 Outer Drive Express buses will end their trips at Michigan/Harrison.

Westbound #7 and #126, and northbound #143 buses will begin their trips at Harrison/Michigan, operate via Harrison, Wabash, Balbo, and Michigan to Ida B. Wells, then continue their normal route on Michigan.

Northbound #147 buses will begin their trips at Harrison/Michigan, normal route on State.

Allow extra travel time.

Note: On Thursday, July 29 through Sunday, August 1, from 9pm to 11 pm nightly, these reroutes for the #126 and #147 will be temporarily suspended and different reroutes will be in effect. See separate #126
and #147 alerts for Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday night.

How does this affect my trip?
Westbound
buses will operate via Grand, Fairbanks, Ontario, Michigan, and South Water, then resume their normal route on Michigan.

Eastbound buses will operate via Michigan, Ohio, and Fairbanks, then resume their normal route on Illinois.

Why is service being changed?
Buses are rerouted due to the Chicago Ducky Derby.
