BLUE LINE

Boarding Change, Delays Between Cicero and Oak Park
How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the O’Hare-bound side of the platform at the Austin station.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Cicero and Oak Park, resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Blue Line.


RED LINE

Mon and Wed, nightly
11pm to 4am next day

Boarding Change, Delays Between Grand and Cermak-Chinatown

How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the Howard-bound side of the platform at the Lake, Monroe, Jackson, Harrison, and Roosevelt stations.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Grand and Cermak-Chinatown, resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Red Line.

PURPLE LINE

Oct 4 and 6
Tue and Thu, nightly
10pm to 4am next day

Boarding Change, Delays Between Dempster and Howard

How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the Linden-bound platform at the Main station, and on the Linden-bound side of the platform at the South Blvd station.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Dempster and Howard, resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely
along the Purple Line.

Between Balbo/Michigan and Roosevelt/Columbus, #2 Hyde Park Express#6 Jackson Park Express#J14 Jeffery Jump#26 South Shore Express and #28 Stony Island buses will operate in both directions via Michigan and Roosevelt.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
Buses are rerouted due to the Bank of America Chicago Marathon set-up and clean up.

 

#3 King Drive Special Service

Thu thru Sat

How does this affect my trip?
Special service will operate between Mies van der Rohe/Walton and McCormick Place.

  • Thu: Buses will operate every 10 to 15 minutes from 11am to 6pm.
  • Fri and Sat: Buses will operate every 10 to 15 minutes from 9am to 6pm. 

Board at any regular bus stop along the special route and along the regular route south of Chicago Avenue.

How does this affect my trip?
Eastbound #7 Harrison and #126 Jackson, and southbound #143 Stockton/Michigan Express and #147 Outer DuSable Lake Shore Express buses will end their trips at Michigan/Harrison.

Westbound #7 and #126, and northbound #143 buses will begin their trips at Harrison/Michigan, operate via Harrison, Wabash, Balbo, and Michigan to Ida B. Wells, then continue their normal route on Michigan.

Northbound #147 buses will begin their trips at Harrison/Michigan, operate via Harrison and State to Ida B. Wells, then continue their normal route on State.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?

#52A South Kedzie Temporary Reroute

9am, Mon, Aug 1 to 5pm, Mon, Oct 24 or completion (extended)

How does this affect my trip?
Northbound
buses will operate via Kedzie, Marquette, California, and 63rd, then resume their normal route on Kedzie.

Southbound buses are not affected.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
Buses are rerouted due to sewer work on Kedzie between 64th and 66th Street.
