Irving Park Station Main Entrance Temporary Closure

How does this affect my trip?
The Irving Park Blue Line station’s main entrance on the south side of Irving Park Road will be temporarily closed.

  • To enter the station, please use the station’s auxiliary entrance/exit on the west side of Pulaski Road. 
     
  •  Farecard vending machines and station personnel will be available at the  Pulaski auxiliary entrance/exit.
     
  •  During construction, the eastbound #80 Irving Park bus stop located at the Irving Park station (mid-block on the south side of Irving Park Road) will be temporarily discontinued. Exit #80 buses on the southwest corner at Irving Park/Pulaski and enter the station via the Pulaski auxiliary entrance for access to Blue Line trains.
     
  •  The Irving Park station’s auxiliary entrance located on the north side of Irving Park Road and the exit only stairs on the east side of Pulaski Road will remain open.

For your safety, please cross streets at crosswalks.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing construction to replace the escalator and stairs at the Irving Park Blue Line station.

Temporary Reroute
#12 Roosevelt 
#53 Pulaski

9am, Mon, Jan 17 to 5pm, Fri, Feb 18 or completion

How does this affect my trip?
Southbound #12 Roosevelt and #53 Pulaski buses will operate via Pulaski, Harrison, Independence, and Roosevelt, then resume their normal route on Pulaski.
 
Northbound buses are not affected.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
Buses are rerouted due to construction Pulaski/Fillmore.


#54A North Cicero/Skokie Blvd. Temporary Bus Stop Change

9am, Mon, Jan 17 to 7am, Tue, May 3 or completion

How does this affect my trip? The Irving Park Blue Line station’s main entrance on the south side of Irving Park Road will be temporarily closed. 

During construction, the eastbound #54A North Cicero/Skokie Blvd. bus stop located on the southeast corner at Irving Park/Avondale will be temporarily discontinuedEastbound buses will end their trips in the bus terminal near Irving Park/Keystone.

To access Blue Line trains, enter via the farecard only auxiliary entrance on the north side of Irving Park just west of the Keystone bus terminal. Or, use the Pulaski Blue Line station entrance on the west side of Pulaski Road, south of Irving Park.

#55N 55th/Narragansett Temporary Reroute

8am, Thu, Nov 4, 2021 to 5pm, Fri, Feb 4, 2022 or completion

How does this affect my trip?
Westbound
 buses will operate via 55th, Austin, and 63rd, ending their trips at the Narragansett/63rd bus terminal.

Eastbound buses are not affected.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
Buses are rerouted due to construction.


#56 Milwaukee Temporary Reroute

9am, Tue, Jan 4 to 4pm, Fri, May 6 or completion

How does this affect my trip?
Southbound
 buses are rerouted via Milwaukee, Cicero, and Addison, then resume their normal route on Milwaukee.

Northbound buses are not affected.

Why is service being changed?
Buses will be temporarily rerouted due to southbound lane closures due to construction on a Metra railway viaduct.


#80 Irving Park Temporary Bus Stop Change

9am, Mon, Jan 17 to 7am, Tue, May 3 or completion

How does this affect my trip?
The Irving Park Blue Line station’s main entrance on the south side of Irving Park Road will be temporarily closed.

During construction, the eastbound #80 Irving Park bus stop located at the Irving Park station (mid-block on
the south side of Irving Park Road) will be temporarily discontinued.

Exit eastbound #80 buses on the southwest corner at Irving Park/Pulaski and enter the Irving Park Blue Line
station via the Pulaski auxiliary entrance for access to Blue Line trains.

Farecard vending machines and station personnel will be available at the Pulaski auxiliary entrance/exit.

#172 U. of Chicago/Kenwood Temporary Reroute

Wed Dec 15, 2021 until further notice
9am to 5pm, daily

How does this affect my trip?
Northbound 
buses will operate via Woodlawn, 53rd, University, and Hyde Park to Woodlawn, then resume their normal route on East Hyde Park.

Southbound buses will operate via East Hyde Park, Greenwood, and 53rd, then resume their normal route on Ellis.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
Buses are rerouted due to sewer work at Woodlawn/53rd.
